George Washington named commander in chief
It first began when he took political stands against the British Parliament. Later when the Battle of Lexington and Concord broke out he was named as Commander in Chief for the Continental Army. Later on he became our first President for our country. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
When the Battles of Lexington and Concord was over the patriots heard that there were spies from the British army trying to attack Bunker Hill. Since the patriots only had half of the men the british had they retreated quickly and the British took over Bunker Hill but most solidiers from the British army were killed and injured. -

Winter Quarters in Morrison
Washington sets up Winter quarters in Morrison, NJ for himself and the troops after winning 2 battles. It was a place where he can watch out for the British Army also protecting the road to the leaders of the American Revolution, but a lot of soldiers had left inspite of the cold but because of Washington's popularity many people came to fight in the war. -
Washington wins the Battle of Princeton
George Washington and the troops went out on night and surrounded the British army to attack and won near Princeton New Jersey. -
Winter at Valley Forge
George Washington and his troops spent the winter of 1777 and early 1778 in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Because it was so cold and they didn't have the proper shelter and clothes a lot of them were freezing and it was a hard time for them. They also trained from Baron Friedrich Von Steubom to learn fighting skills and thank to that they became a little stronger. -
Treaty of Alliance
Also known as Treaty of Aliance with France was an agreement that made a defensive alliance between France and America during the American Revolution. It was for military support in case getting attacked by the British force. -
Cornwallis surrounded at Yorktown
It started when the Patriots were losing but General Nathanael Greene used hit-and run strategy to attack the British army and it worked. The French ships surrounded the British army at sea and the Patriots on land, Cornwallis and his troops were running out of food and ammunition and so they surrendered. The British government didn't like this since it was a sign that ther were losing at war. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783, which ended the American Revolutionary war between England and America. Signed by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, and David Hartley. It was ratified on Jan 14, 1784
