Bunker Hill (English)
The British were shocked to find out trhat the Colinies beat them to Breed's Hill and had to fight their way up the hill so that they can have a high posision over Boston.
The Colonies held off the the British for three waves and then they ran out of ammunition and were forced to retreat. -
Common Sense
Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense to try to convince more of the Colinists to fight for their rights in America. -

Virginia assembled at a free convention to determin which rights pertained to them and their posterity. -

This is the first draft of the Constitution that was sent to the King of England.This draft consisrws of the complaints that the American Colonists, which they wanted to be fixed by becoming a free and independent nation. -

The declaration of the the 13 states that they would be independent. -

The Americans lose another battle, but this time they lose over seas. They lost 8 of the 23 ships that they had. -
Retreat (British)
The Americans retreat from White Plains, New York. British casualties (~300) higher than American casualties. (~200) -
The crossing of the Delaware (America)
This is one of the major wins for the American troops because they defeated the Heashon, the hired guns from Germany, and took over a supply base in Trenton. This base supplied the Continenal Army with gun powder and plenty of guns to finish the war. -
The Battle of Brandywine (British)
A battle that was not supposed to happen. The British were marching and happened to run into the Continental Army and forced them to retreat. -
The Battle of Clouds (America)
Goerge Washington marched his troops 10 miles out of the woods and into the safety of the clouds in the hills, after the defeat of the Battle of Brandywine. He soon follows up with an attack and suprises the British and wins a battle. -
Battle of Saratoga (America)
On Freeman's Farm and the British lost 2 men for every American who died. -
Paoli Massacre
The English found a town of poor men and women and started hacking at them with bayonets and knives. -
The Battle of Germantown (British)
The amreican troops tried to suprice the british troops in phillidelphia, so they marched all night to reach the bace by down. But their planes where spoiled wh en they found that the bace had a heavie coat of fog.And the plotoons got lost in the heavy fog. -
Valley Forge
The soldiers are hungry and cold in December. In June of 1778, they are confident are ready to go. -

The British take a strategical move by takiing a high mountain as a town. -

1000 captured and 900 killed. The Americans have a very devistating loss to the British. The Americans lost just under 1/3 of their soldiers. -

The out numbered English Navy is surrounded by the French Navy. The English are forced to retreat to New York. After the English retreat, the French reinforcements arrive to cut off any land retreat. -

After discussing with allies, George Washington decided to attack New York City in order to crush Cornwallis' forces. -
