Battle of Charlestown (Part 1)
The Battle of Charletowm was fought on May 12th, 1780. The leader for the Southern American Army was Maj.General Benjamin Lincoln and the leader of the British Army was Lt. General Henry Clinton. The Southern American Army had 5,000 men in total and the Brithish Army had 14,000 men in total. The British brought a fleet of 90 ships down from New York. The British ships dropped the men off a 30 miles south Charlestown on the southern tip of Johns Island and marched up to Charlestown. -
Battle of Charlestown (Part 2)
It took the Brithish a week to travel to Charlestown. When they made it to Charlestown the American Army had already set up fortifacations. Then the British slowy made its way through the American fortifactions and cornered the American Army in Charlestown. Day by day the British Army made there way closer to the American Army. When the Biritsh was close enough they drained the canal and that was the last defence of the Americans. Knowing that they could not defeat the British they surrendered. -

The Battle of Camden
In the Battle of Camden the commanders for the American Army was Johann de Kalb, Marquis de la Rouerie, and Major General Horatio Gates. The commanders for the British Army was Banastre Tarleton, Francis Rawdon-Hastling, and Lieutenant General Lord Charles Cornwallis. The British had 2,000 troops and the Americans had 3,700 troops. Out of the 3700 troops there was only 1500 regular troops. The rest were all militia men. In the British Army only 600 were Loyalist militia and Irish Volunteers. -
The Battle of Camden (Part 2)
The British were the first ones to fire. RIght after the British fired the first volley the whole American Milita started to retreat. After the British fired the first volley they charged with their bayonets and the rest of the American Milita retreated. Seeing that they just lost most of their army, the Americans started to retreat. After the retreat, Horatio Gates got his men together and started to fire back at the charging British, but the firing did not work and the British kept charging. -
The Battle of Camden (Part 3)
The American Army started to lose to much men from being shot at by the British and being charged at by the British. In the end of the Battle, Horatio Gates fled and traveled 60 miles away to take refuge in Charlett, North Carolina. The British captured what was left of the army and they won the war.

Battle of Kings Mountain
In the Battle of Kings Mountain the American Army had no leader and the Britsh Army lead by Major Patrick Ferguson. The battle was foght because The American Army wanted to attack and weaken the British Army. The attack on the British Army was very successful and there was little to none casualties to the American Army. This Battle weakened the British Army and the British lost one of its Commander, Major Patrick Ferguson.

Battle of Cowpens
In the Battle of Cowpens, the commander for the American Army was Brigadier General Daniel Morgan and the commander for the British Army was BanastreTarleton. There was 1912 troops on the American side and there was 1150 on th British side. The British stragety to surprise the Americans and charge them hoping they all would retreat. The Americans stragety was to fire 2 volleys at time, and after each volley they will back up to make it seem like they are retreating. -

Battle of Cowpen (Part 2)
The Americans plan was deadly affective. Before the Biritsh charge even got close to the American lines the American Army took out most of the officers and some of the soldiers leaving them commandless and with no leader. So after each charge they were all very confused and didnt know what to do. When the Americans depleted the British lines enough, the Americans chraged with their bayonets, causing the very cofused and disoriented British Army to surrender. -
Battle of Guilford Courthouse
In the Battle of Guilford Courthouse the British commander was Lt. General Charles Cornwallis, and the American commander was Lt. Major General Nathanael Greene and Lt Colonel Henry Lee. This was a British won battle. General Greene had a very strong first attack and then he fled the battle before he could take on any casualties.

Battle of Yorktown
In this battle, the American commarnder was George Washington and the British commander was Lord Charles Cornwallis. This Battle was won by the Americans, and this was the last battle in the Revolutionary war. The Americans had a total of 17000 men. Both French and Americans. The British had a total of 9000 men. The Americans put 5000 men at the entrance of Yorktown so the British coould not retreat. -
Battle of Yorktown (Part 2)
The French put a fleet of their ships in the docks of Yorktown so the British could not escape through the sea and so they could not get supplies. The rest of the Americans surrounded Yorktown with cannons and artillery and bombarded the British for three weeks strait until the British finally surrendered.
