  • The French and Indian war

    The colonist faught in the war because they thought the British were going to take over there land. After the war General James Wolfe took over Quebec. Britain took over most of Fench's land in North America
  • The Sugar act

    The Sugar act was a tax on sugar

    The act banned all use of paper money

    The stamp act put a tax on everything made of paper .To show you payed the tax you hade to buy a tax.

    A group of colonist got snowballs and iceballs they threw them at soldiers the soldiers got angry and aimed there guns at the crowd and fired killing 5 people.

    The Quartering acts,the Massachusetts Bay Regulating act,Boston Port act,the Impartial Administration of Justice act and the Quebec act.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The sons of liberty dress up as Indians and aboard a ship with 1,000 chests of tea and dump all of it in the harbor.
  • First Contnental Congress

    The First Contenental Congress met in carpenters hall Philladelphia. It had representitives from every state except for Georgia.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The shot around the world was here the minitute men met the british soldiers at a bridge going to concord to find all there gun pouder and steal it.They didn't want a fight but one shot was fired the soldiers lowered there guns an fired at the minitute men.

  • Bunker Hill Battle part 1

    The American troops moved out of there camp bringing picks, shovels and guns. The American entrenched themselves on a rise on Charelstown Peninsula. The Americans could bombard the town and the ships in Boston but they went to Breeds Hill and entrenched themselves closer to the British by accident. In the morning the British were supprised to see the Americans threatening them. The Military demanded the British attack the Americans. The American had cannons pointing at them.
  • Bunker Hill battle part 2

    General William Howe decided instead of surrounding them with the ships he would march uphill. His Majestys ships opend fire first. The britsh marched uphill where the Americans opend fire on them. The British reatreated. Then another wave came, the British reatreated again. Then the third wave came. The Americans where low on amunition. The Americans started a hand-to-hand fight. The British took over the hill but 1,054 British died
  • Quebec Battle part 1

    American forces advanced on to Quebec in a snowstorm in the morning.The British soldiers were ready but when Montgomery's got to Fortified city the British attacked with barrage of artillery and mustets. Montgomery was killed in the first assault. After more attempts at destroying Quebec defences his men were forced to reatreat. At the same time Arnold's troops were losing too at the Northern wall of the city.
  • Quebec battle part 2

    A two-gunned battery attacked them killing some troops and shooting Arnold in the leg. Daniel Morgan made progress agenst defenders but halted at the second wall to wait for reinforcements. By the time Arnold's army finally arived the British reoganized forcing them to reatreat. Out of the 1,200 Americans that particapated more than 400 were captured, killed or wounded. British casualties were minor.
  • Charelstown Battle

    The battle ended with major Benjamin Lincoln surrendering to British Lieuternant General Henry Clintion in Charleson. This was the worst defeat for the American in the Revolutionay War. British captured 3,000 Patriots and a lot of equipment. Only 250 British got killed or wounded.
  • Trenton Battle

    At a base in Trenton 1,400 British soldiers celebrated Christmas even though Rall received warnings of Washington's movement. His men were tired and not prepared for Washington's attack. Washington divided his men into two groups that formed flanking columns around the British base along with Cannons. Rall tried to get his troops together but he never successed. He was shot from his horse and badly wounded. The British surrended 22 killed, 93 wounded, 918 captured, and 400 British escaped
  • Saratoga Battle

    Gates army was in between the British in the north and Albany. The British attacked first. The battle was south of Saratoga. 86% of the British army was captured. It was a good site to see the British surrendered their arms. Success at Saratoga gave France the confience to help the Americans with the war.
  • Rode Island Battle

    It began on August 9th with 11,000 American troops and the French navy. The French fleet got attacked by a hurricane before the battle so they couldn't help the Americans. The American's tried to withdraw but British troops attacked them. After 12 days, Americans realized they could destroy British lines without help from France. The Americans were froced to retreat leaving British victory.
  • Battle of Kings Mountain

    The British under Campbell gathered some troops and went to a rocky ridge named Kings Mountain. The Patriots walked up hill multiple times demonstrationg good aiming skills. The Patriots surrounded the British. Campbell not wanting to surrender led his troops down the mountain to die. After Campbell died some British men tried to surrender but were shot. The Americans won.
  • Cowpens Battle

    One day Daniel Morgan an American Patriot took 300 riflemen and 740 Militiamen to a backcountry fort, Ninety-Six to attack the British. Tarleton took 1,100 troops from Cornwallis to look for him. They met at Cowpens river. When they met, Morgan told the milita to run after 2 shots from their guns. This movement from the Americans confused the British and they ran. The British ran into the militia men and they got destroyed. This battle was the turning point for the Southern campaign.
  • Yorktown Battle

    George Washington with 17,000 troops surrounded Yorktown by land. The French blocked his escape by sea. Washington and Cornwallis fought for three weeks. Corwallis surrendered on October 17, 1781. It ended the American Revolution. Corwallis did not attend the surrender ceremony on October 19 due to illness but O'Hara gave Corwallis sword to American and French commanders. The Treaty of Paris was signed on Septeber 3rd making America a free and independent country after 8 years of war.
