    Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell both independently designed devices that could transmit speech electrically. This was the beginning of the era of the telephone. This soon impacted America by allowing people to talk to one another without being face to face.

    This was a company that made pies that were sold to many New England colleges. This was a good way of college students to buy cheap pies that could fill them. This influenced America positively because the sales of the pie created more demand for pies which increaed their company's profits.

    This was the first internal combustion engine. It was made by Karl Benz. This influenced America by getting to places faster.

    This impacted America by allowing people to find job opportunities. This also made it so black people could become free. The Whites were involved too ebcause they feared this would deprive them from their black labor.

    This was a law that banned alcohol. This influenced America by making them upset and rebell. It was also the only law that was repealled by the 21st amendment.

    This was important because this limited the amount of immigrants allowed to America. This influenced America by limiting the amount of immigrants coming to America. This did not affect Asia though, they did not allow them to come.

    This was a quota that only allowed 3% of immigrants to America. This influced America by allowing only a certain amount annually. This was important for America because we couldn't let so many people in anymore.

    This was finally built in 1936. This was a concrete arch gravity dam in the back canyon of the CO. river. This was built during the great depression. It was orginally known as the Boulder Dam, but changed to honor Herbert Hoover.

    This law ratified the 18th amendment making it once again legal to drink alchohol. This influenced America in a positive and negative way. Women were really upset about this.

    This was a period of economic stress. It was a period of a fright for all banks. The bank system was unable to keep up with the panicked withdrawls that the cutomoers were making.

    This was the 32nd U.S President. He was know for his New Deal programs. This influenced America positively by saving our economy. He was one of the many great Presidents.
