King Philip's War
Britain's New England, particularly Massachusetts, were threatened by Native Americans led by Metacom, also known as King Philip, who nearly succeeded before eventually having to fight against fellow Indians resulting in his death ending the war. This war resulted in a depopulation of and massive hatred towards Indians in British America. -
