Between this time all of the 13 Colonies are legally being made into colonies in the eyes of Britain and the colonies people. All of them in what is todays northeast America. Knowing you have a name and a say is empowering. -
The House of Burgesses Created
This gave representation to the settlers of the "New World." This was a first for the people of Europe, and a great change from not being listened to. -
Protestants Begin Settleing in the Americas
In order to escape religous persecution, English Protestants travel to the Americas on Mayflower for religous freedom. They even make a Mayflower compact. They have goals to keep do what they want instead of following others beliefs. -
The Boston Tea Party
A small revolt against the taxes being imposed on their imports such as the Stamp Act and the Sugar Act, and also one of the first widely public because of the newspapers. This gave a feeling of rage that people could express instead of holding in. -
The Start of the American Revolution
The American Revolution was all about the people wanting to change their lives, earn their natural rights, and finally gain freedom from their opressive monarch from across the ocean. -
End of the American Revolution
The end of this revolution would lead the people to have more enlightened thoughts, causing many to question government, unfair policies, etc. People begin to become more aware of the fact that they are all humans and deserve equal rights for all white males. -
The Louisianna Purchase
This was a physical change for the colonies. The purchase of this land from the French doubled the size of the colonies, giving the people more room for a larger population of people away from their monarch. People are starting to see that they can live different lives in American lands. -
The Civil War Begins
Once people begin seeing that all human life is valuable, even those who are different, the people who are against slavery start a union against the confederates because it is what they know and believe is right. -
The Civil War Ends
After the Civil War is over, slavery is outlawed, black people earn "equal rights" by law, and segregation is dissolved.Although many are still owning slaves illegally, more are fighting against it to completely get rid of it; because the elimination of slavery is their goal. -

During this time, many of Americas citizens were expressing their feelings on the war, whether they were for or against, all over the media. There was a big debate over the war between the hawks and doves, and hippies came about. Hippies were people who like to show their feelings through their clothes, music, etc. They are also against war and speaking out against it, contrary to what the government or the hawks think. -
Apollo 11
The achievement of reaching the moon was and is an amazing feet that America managed to accomplish before anyone else in the world. This historic moment gave a sense of nationalism to all americans, despite all of the wars, sadism, hatred, and insanity. It was like Neil Armstrong said “We came in peace for all mankind.”
