This was the worst attack on the US before 9/11. An ec-Army soilder, Timothy McVeign, parked a truck that had a bomb in it by the federal building. It was an attack on Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. 168 people were killed. 19 children under the age of 6 were killed. -
9/11 Terrorist Attacks
Islamic terrorists hijacked four different US planes. One crashed into the Pentagon. Two of them crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. The last one crashed into a field because people helped to get rid of the terrorist on that plane but did not know how to land it. Around three thousand people died in the attack. Osama Bin Laden led the attack. It was a sad day but caused Americans to come together as one to help others. -
US and Britain launched air attacks in Afghanistan
Due to 9/11, America responded by trying to attack Terrorists on the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. On May 2, 2011, Osama Bin Laden was killed by US Special Forces in the afternoon.
