11th amendment
Someone from one state cannot sue the government of another state. -
12th amendment
Changed the process of electing the president. Voters would vote for the vice president and the president in two separate ballots. -

A war fought between the north and south America. (Caused the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth amendments.) -
13th amendment
Abolished the act of slavery, but forced labor was still a valid punishment. -
14th amendment
Granted citizenship to those born in the united states. -
15th amendment
Allowed all US. citizens, regardless of race, to vote. (Except women though, that came later.) -
16th amendment
allowed the government to collect taxes from whatever source without splitting it among the states. -
17th amendment
Allowed for people to vote for senators instead of state legislature. -
18th amendment
Prohibited the sale of any alcoholic beverages. -

Public dissalusionment
The public were very upset about the prohibition movement. People were rioting over it. -

Temperance movement
A movement, led mainly by women, that advocated against the consumption of alcohol. -
19th amendment
Gave women the right to vote. -
20th amendment
Decides who will be the president's successor when they die. -
21st amendment
Repealed the eighteenth amendment officially. -
22nd amendment
Prevented US presidents from being elected more than twice. -
23rd amendment
Allowed the citizens of Washington D.C. to vote for representatives in the electoral college. -
24th amendment
Prevented southern states from forcing voters to loose their right to vote or pay a ridiculously high tax. -
25th amendment
States that when the president can't do his job, the vice president will take his place. -
26th amendment
Lowered the voting age from 21 to 18. -
27th amendment
Prevents congress' salary from being raised or lowered until the start of the next representatives' term. (This amendment was actually proposed when the constitution was first being made. It didn't get ratified for 200 years, which I found interesting.)
