Amendment XII
Electors cast two separate votes, one for president and one for vice president. People get two votes one for president and on for vice president. -

Slavery is illegal throughout the nation. There cannot be slavery. -
amendment XIV
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.
Anyone and everyone can become a citizen unless the person does something unconstitutional. -

The national and state governments cannot use peoples’ race to stop them from voting. No matter what color you are you can vote. -
amendment XVI
The national government has the power to tax incomes. We can be taxed by the government. -
amendment XVII
The people of each state elect their U.S. Senators directly. The people of a state choose their states senators. -
amendment XVIII
This amendment made it illegal throughout the nation to make, sell, import or export alcoholic beverages. Selling, importing, or exporting alcohol is illegal. -
amendment XIX
The national and state governments cannot use peoples’ sex to stop them from voting. Anyone can vote. -
amendment XX
Establishes rules for presidential succession, and shortened the length of time between the election of the president and federal officials and the beginning of their terms. It means that you vote for the president and federal officials sooner. -
amendment XXI
Prohibition ended as the Eighteenth Amendment was repealed. Because of it getting rid of the eighteenth amendment prohibition ended. -
amendment XXII
No one can be elected president more than two times. Anyone who has held the office of president (for example, if the previous president died in office) for more than two years can only be elected for one more term. A president can only be president for two terms. -
amendment XXIII
Washington, D.C. is given presidential electors as if it were a state. Washington D.C. gets presidential electors. -
amendment XXIV
Poll taxes could no longer be used as a requirement to vote. People were no longer taxed if they didn't vote. -
amendment XXV
This amendment specifies the line of succession if the president dies in office or resigns. If the president is killed, impeached, or resigns the vice president will become the president. -
amendmentXXVI
The national and state governments cannot use peoples’ age to stop them from voting, as long as they are over the age of 18. As long as your 18 or older you can vote. -
amendment XXVII
When Congress raises officials’ salaries, a general election must be completed before the raise goes into effect. Before congress can raise officials salaries a vote must be taken.
