Ratifiaction of the 11th Amendment
The 11th Amendment is what limits the suits brought against a state in federal court by individuals from other states or foreign countries. It was passed by congress on march 4th 1794 bt only a year later until it was ratified by the states. -
Pay raise
the 27th Amendment states that members of congress may vote themselves a higher pay raise but they must be elected before the raise takes effect. -
The 12th Amendment
The 12th amendment is what changed the procedures for electing the president and vice president. Before it was like whoever got the most votes was president and runner up with the votes was vice prsident. See the problem with that was you had two different parties in the house. So they just changed it to whoever had the most votes was president and his running mate was his vice president. This amendment was ratified on June 15, 1804 but passed by congress on December 9, 1803 -
Ending of slavery
The 13th amendment was about the ending of slavery. This amendment lead the way for many great things for African Americans. It gave them freedom and soon lead to things like the right to vote and many others -
Protection of Rights
The 14th Amendment protected the rights of citizens, It prohibited states from depriving any person of life, liberty, or property. -
Voting Rights
This amendment, the 15th amendment, made it so it stopped state and federal governments from denying citizens the right to vote. -
Taxes
The 16th amendement made it so congress could levy or impose and collect taxes. Taxes is how the government gets its money so this amendment kind of made it so the government could run. -

This Amendment made it so the people also elected the Senators instead of the state legislature -
Prohibition
The 18th Amendment was that the prohibition prohibited the production,sale,or transport of alcoholic beverages in the united states passed in 1919 -
Women's Suffrage
The 19th Amendment was the first amendment concerning women's suffrage. It gave women the right to vote. -
President and vice president
This Amendment, the 20th Amendment, changed the inauguration date for president and vice president from April to January. -

This Amendment repeals the 18th Amendment. It is the oly Amendment ever passed to overturn an previous Amendment -

The 26th Amendment changed the voting age from 21 to 18 because they figured if your old enough to fight fro your country, then your old enough to vote for the man to run the country.
