The couple quietly got married in Connecticut. Dorothy and Putman got divorced and a while after he proposed to Amelia. She rejected, but the second time he proposed Amelia agreed. -
Amelia flew from Hawaii to California
Amelia flew from Honolulu,Hawaii to Oakland,California. Amelia was not only the first women to fly solo from these two locations, but she was also the first person. -
Amelia and Noonan begin their flight around the world
Amelia said goodbye to Putman in Hawaii right before she took off for her first attempt to fly around the world. She brought along a navigator,Fred Noonan, with her on her flight. -
Amelia and Noonan disappear
Amelia and Noonan had almost completed their flight around the world but they disappeared. Rescue teams were sent out to locate them but they didnt have any sucess. Amy Earhart and Putman both waited anxiously for Amelia to return but she was declared dead about a few months later.
