Sometime in the year 1900, when Amelia was only three, her father started drinking Alcohol. Their family's life was tough because Amelia's father, Edwin Earhart would lose his job because he drunk too much and lost concentration, this caused the family to move from place to place more often. -

Sometime in 1908, 11-year-old Amelia had to move to Des Moines, Iowa. There, her parents rook her to see an air show, where she saw an airplane for the first time in her life, but she was not interested at all, she said "It was a thing of rusty wire and wood and not at all interesting", but little did she know that she was going to be one of the most famous fliers in history. -

On the 3rd of January, 1921, Amelia decided that she wanted to learn to fly, when she told her father this, he could not afford flying lessons for her, but Amelia was determined to learn to fly. So she took some money from her mother and got a job to pay for flying lessons with a woman flight instructor: "Neta" Snook. -

Sometime in March, 1937, Amelia begun to attemt her flight from Oakland, California to Honulu, Hawaii. She crashed on takeoff but she later took her second round - world flight attempt. -
