    On the 8th March 30,000 workers went on strike as they were not being paid so therefore could not afford any food. there were many demonstrations all over the city however Nicholas foolishly thought that these demonstrations would stop.

    About 50 protesters were killed when the Tsar ordered his soldiers to fire bullets into the crowd of them. Some of these protesters were peaceful, and when the army started firing they thought and said to everyone, "they are only blanks!". But when the bodies started dropping they started running too.

    Lenin arrived in Petrograd, Russia on the 6th April 1917. He was a vital part that played a role in the fall of the provisional government along side Stalin and Trotsky. He provided the Bolsheviks with determination to take power instead of them supporting the government.

    The July days were a series of days where many demonstrations occurred . Lvov resigned as the founder of the Provisional Government and a man named Alexander Kerensky took charge. the death penalty was then reintroduced and women gained the right to vote in elections and other similar events. The new leader of the PG then ordered the arrest of Vladimir Lenin, a key leader of the Bolsheviks, who then in return went into hiding. Other key Bolsheviks were arrested.
