Switz broke away from the control of the German Empire in 1499. Then they began to grow as a country. -

In 1562, France had religious wars between catholics and protestants. The Massacare of Vassay was the 1st conflict that provoked conflicts with the 2 groups. -
France founded
Founded in 1608 and become an independent state, July 14th 1789 during the french revolution. -
Liechtenstein founded
founded in 1719, and became an independant state in 1866. it was a memeber of the german confideration from 1815-1866. -
French revolution
The French revolution took place 1789-1799, that was a period of radical and social upheaval in France and Europe. The absolute monarchy that ruled France for centuries collapsed in 3 years , causing major transformatioin. -
France slavery
In 1848 slavery was abolished in france. They turned 4x's more african americans into slaves then North Americans did. -
Austria declares war.
Austria declares war on Sardinia. And later is defeated by Italian and French forces. -
Germany founded
Germany was founded in 1871 and became independent in 1871 also. -
Germany invades France
this was the begining of world war l. france was allies with russia and england. germany simply wanted to put france out of the war and thought that if they took out france, that russia and england would not get involved. -
Slovenia founded
Slovenia founded in 1918, it gained full independence on June 25, 1991. -
Germany declared a republic.
November 9th, 1918 Germany was delcared a Weimar Republic to replace the imperial form of government. It was named after the city Weimar because that's where the constitutional assembly took place, to declare Germany a republic. -
Hindenburg appoints Adolf Hitler as the leader and Nazi Germany begin persecuting Jews
This began the holocaust and was one of the most historic events in the history of the world that elimnated 2/3 of the jewish race. Hitler was a vicious leader and wanted all the jews dead. His most common way to eliminate the Jews was to create and put them in extermination camps, killing them in bunches. -
German troops under Adolf Hitler seize Austrian lands and announced its union with Germany
This was a stepping stone for the start of world war ll. -
Slovenia occupied during WW ll.
During WW ll Slovenia was occupied. They were occupied by Nazi Germany and Italy, because they needed more land for jews and for military reasons. -
Austria joins European Union.
Austria became a memeber of the european union. this made them a bigger market and more of a power in europe. -
Liechtenstien women.
It wasnt until 1984 when women were granted the right to vote in Liechtenstien. A few amendments were made for women to beable to vote in national elections, just not in 3 seperate municipalities until 1986. -
Berlin wall was demolished
East germans were now able to travel to West Germany because of a wall built to seprate East and West Germany from eachother. One of the major reasons why they wanted to be seperated was that East Germans believed West Germans were not fully de-nazified, causing fueds and this seperation of Berlin.
