    Gibbon v. Ogden
    Ogden gained permission from NY legislature to NY waters and Gibbon gained permission to sail in NY waters from Congress. Ogden filed a suit for Gibbons to be prevented from doing this and Gibbons appealed to the supreme court and they reversed it with Article 1 Sec. 8 of the Constitution, Congress had the power to regulate interstate commerce
