Paul and Albert get sent to a hospital and receive a break from fighting. -
Leg Amputated
Albert gets his leg amputated. He is extremely upset. -
Back to Fighting
Paul is healed and returns, once more, to the front. -
Kat is Dead
Paul's best friend Kat dies while Paul is carrying him to a medic. -
Paul Dies
Paul dies less than a month before the Armistice is signed. He gave up after Kat died. His death was peaceful, though.
