    Born in 1861, in Britain to his mother Anglican clergyman. Later down the road he would attend Cambridge (1880), with a scholarship in mathematics, majoring in mathematics and physics. Alfred was the pioneer in a process we know today as Process Philosophy.   • Life moving forward

    In 1890, Alfred married Evelyn Wade, mother to his three children 1 daughter and two sons. Around this time period, Alfred began to work on his first publication, "Treatise on Universal Algebra".   • Beginning of Elected

    In the early 1900s, whitehead and Russel used their perspective works in mathematics resulting in whitehead getting elected to the Royal society. Other, smaller works also contributed to whiteheads election, such as "The Principles of Mathematics" which Russel expanded upon.   • The Principles of Mathematics

    In the early 1900's, Whitehead would continue his work in Mathematics, creating the "Essay on the Foundations of Geometry" and the second volume of "Universal Algebra". In partnership with Russell, the two men created " Principia Mathematica (1910, 1912, 1913)", which would take a decade to complete.   • Whitehead the Philosopher

    Whiteheads Philosophy of science had nothing to do with " ethics, theology or theory of aesthetics". His philosophy included science, art, morals and religion in a "synoptic" way or version for Metaphysics.     In 1924, Whitehead's commendable work would be spread to the young minds at Harvard University, as he is appointed a professor of Philosophy at the university. This is the same year Whitehead moved to the United States.   • Russell on Whitehead

    After many years working together, Bertrand Russell admired and respected Whitehead's work, this did not change even after Whitehead moved to America. Russell once stated that, "In England, Whitehead was regarded only as a mathematician, and it was left to America to discover him as a philosopher”, in which he would receive his credit for is work.
