Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, 1755 in the West Indies. His fathers name was James and his mothers name was Rachel. -
Mothers Death
On this day Hamiltons mother died of yellow fever. Alexander also became very ill and he was close to dying too. -

Hamilton became captain of the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Unit. Then on December 26th 1776 Hamilton's artillery unit takes part in Washington's successful capture of Trenton, New Jersey. -
Marriage
Alexander Hamilton was married to Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton on December 14th in 1780. They were married in the Schuyler mansion. Her family was from New York and they were very wealthy. This provided oppertunities for Hamilton. She also had to deal with all of Hamiltons affairs. -
Children
On January 22nd 1782 Hamilton and his wife had there first child and named him philip. They then went on to have seven more children. -
Death
Hamilton died July 12th 1804. He was having an affair with another mans wife and the man Aaron Burr challenged him to a duel. He was shot and killed.
