Alexander Grahm Bell is born
Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland on 3/3/1847 to Melville James Bell Edward Charles Bell, which marked the beginning of a very impactful person in history who changed life as we know it. -
Dehusking machine
Bell built a homemade device that used several blades to dehusk corn. This made the job much faster, and it was used for a number of years at the mill in his home town. -
Telaphone
He got the first U.S.Patent for the telephone, on March 7, 1876 which would be his most important invention. The telephone at that time was a wired device that looked quite weird but served a great cause.
The telephone was important because it was a new tool that could communicate across a long distance and you didn't have to send a letter that would take a long time. -
Metal detector
Bell created this to find the bullet in President James A. Garfield from his assassin. The tool performed well in tests but it did not find the bullet because he was on a metal bed. -

A group of scientists founded National Geographic because they wanted to educate people of world debates and other powerful topics that impacted them. -
Death
He was ill with pernicious anemia which is a rare disorder when you do not absorb enough vitamin B-12 along with age. He died after a life of discoveries and inventions that shaped the world and little did he know the impact of his inventions.
