    Germany's Invasion of Poland
    Adolf Hitler tried to invade Poland after the non-aggression act with the Soviet Union. He wanted to invade Poland because he thought Poland would bring Lebensraum, or “living space,” for the German people. The impact was huge, they ended up taking control. Germany and the USSR concluded an agreement outlining their zones of occupation. Sources:

    German Blitzkrieg
    Adolf Hitler attempted to invade the Soviet Union using a tactic called Blitzkrieg, or "lightning war". He was able to get to Moscow but then winter hit and killed off many troops making the Soviet Union the victor. Hitler invaded the Soviet Union for the same reason as Poland, to secure Lebensraum ("living space") and to ensure the survival of Germany for generations to come.
