On March 14, 1879 Albert Einstein was born. He was born in Ulm germany. Ulm is in the southern part of Germany. This is where Albert Einstein will spend most of his childhood. This is signifigant because Albert Eintein will go on to make many discoveries in science.

Albert Einstein studied at Zurich Polytechnic Institute for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in Zurich, Switzerland. Here he studied sience. This is important because he he leaned a lot about science which helped him develop his theory of relativity which is a huge contribution to science.

The Statue of Liberty
On October 18, 1886 the statue of liberty was dedicated to the United States of America from France. It represents peace and unity between the two countries. The staue of liberty still stands today on Liberty Island in the New York harbor, which is located in New York City, New York. (Dawson 1649-1651) -
The Eiffel Tower first opens.
On March 31, 1889 the Eiffel Tower in Paris france first opens. The Eiffel Tower was built as a monumant for France's 1889 worlds fair. The worlds fair was to mark the 100 year anniversiary of the French Revoloution.("History") -
Australia declares independence.
On January 1st, 1901Australia declared independence from the U.K. ("Historical Events of Year 1901").Australia delcared independence when the British Parliament passed legislation. After they declared independence, Australia was established as a constitutional monarchy.("Federation"). -

In 1905 Albert Einstein published 3 papers. He published one on quantum light, one on brownian and one on general relativity. This is signifigant because it is a huge contribution to physics. (Bolton 92) -

From 1908 to 1914 Albert Einstein taught at Zurich Polytechnic Institute. (Bolton 92). This is the same college in which he went to in 1886. Here is where he also spent time writing papers like "The Foundation of the General Theory of Relativity." ("Theory of Relativity"). This is important because the gift of knowledge is one of the most important things you can give to society. -
Albert Einstein visits the United States for the first time.
In 1921 Albert Einstein visited the United States for the first time.
This is important because in 1932, Albert Einstein will decide to move to America for safety from the Nazis. (Kaku) -
Albert Einstein wins Nobel Prize in physics.
In 1921 Albert Einstein won the Nobel Prize in physics. He won the Nobel Prize because of his services to theoretical physics and his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect. This is important because it made Albert Einsteins discoveries and theories more popular. (Bolton 93) -
Harry Houdini died.
Harry Houdini died on October 31, 1926. Unlike the rumors, Houdini did not die trying to complete one of his many mystical escape tricks like he was widely known for doing. Instead he actually died of appendicitis and a high body tempeature of 104 degress celcius. He was buried in Queens, New York on November 4, 1926. ("The Death of Houdini") -
Albert Einstein left Germany permanently.
After the Nazis came to power Albert Einsteins life was in danger so he left Germany. After he left Germany, Albert Einstein moved to The United States of America. This is important because if Albert Einstein stayed in Germany he would most likely have been killed. (Kaku) -

Ablert Einstein became a citizen of the United States of America in 1933. Here he lived in Princeton, New Jersey. This is important because Albert Einstein can safely work without the fear of Nazis. (Kaku) -
President Franklin D. Roosevelt elected for the 4th time in a row
On this day, November 7, 1944, Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected president for the fourth time in a row. He served as president from 1933 to 1945. He was a great president and "helped the American people regain faith in themselves" (Freidel and Sidey) -
Albert Einstein is asked to become president of Israel
In 1952 Albert Einstein was asked to become the president of Israel. Sadly for Israel he declined. This is important because it shows how important Albert Einstein was in that time period. (Dank 183). -
Albert Einstein died.
On April 17, 1955 Albert Einstein dies. His physicians said the cause of his death was an aneurism. (Kondo 169, 170)
