1895: Einstein takes an exam to enter directly at the Swiss Polytechnic. Does not pass the arts exam. He then moved to Aarau, Switzerland, to do the second grade. -

1896: Einstein manages to enter the ETH Zurich, a prestigious university of the time. He was 17 years old. -

Albert Einstein marries Elsa Albert. On May 29, a solar eclipse shows that Einstein's Theory of General Relativity is correct. -
