Ian Hacking
Ian Hacking is a Canadian philosopher. He was born on February 18, 1936, in Vancouver, British Columbia. According to New York Times he contributed to philosophy of science, probability and mathematics. He was a professor in the philosophy department at University of Toronto. Ian Hacking advocated that science involves both intervention and representation, he played a pivotal role in shifting the spotlight to experimentation. Recently, on May 10th, 2023 Ian Hacking passed away at 87 years old. -
