Aden Hashi Ayro was the first leader of Al-Shabaab. Aden was killed on May 1 by a air strike from the U.S. The U.S. bombed this area because they suspected it was an area of Al-Quaed. Since this has happened the group has came back together and became stronger. They want to contiue to get stronger and take over all of Somlia. -

The first leader of Al-Shabaab was killed by the U.S. in a air strike attack. In 2008,Ahmed Abdi Godane, was named as the main leader of Al-Shabaab. He is also a member of theaaq clan and has the terrioty with Al-Shabaab. -
Take over Somila
Al-Shabaab was able to control some areas in Somila by fighting and bombing after Ethiopian forces left Somlia. They took control by trying to take over the government and make sure there weren't any western infulences going on. Also they wanted to establish a Islamic government and have full power over Somila's government. -
Prime Minister
An Al-Shabaab member did attept to kill a prime minister with a car bomb. He did fail to kill the prime minister but he only gave minor injures to the prime ministers body gurdes. So in this attempt by Al-Shabaab the did fail but my guess would be that they will not stop trying to kill important people to the world. -
Resposablity for July 2010 Kampala attacks
Al-Shabaab is taking resonsablity for killing 74 people in these attacks. They said it was a message saying that there shouldn't be any westerners in Kampala. -
Al-Qaeda merging
On this date, Al-Shabaab formaly merges with Al-Qaeda to become stronger. This annocentment wasn't very suprising to anyone. Most people that studied Al-Shabaab would not find this suprising because they have been close to Al-Qaeda ever since they started there terrioist group. Kenya Mall Atttack
On this date, Al-Shabaab decied to raided the mall in Kenya because the want to get all the forigners out of Somlia and the sourding coutries and make sure there are no western ideals within there area. Kenyan navy was called to help and get this raid under control. People were rushed to get all kids and children to safety first and then take care of themsleves. The number of 60 people were first msising. That number has now fallin to 39 -
Twitter Mall Comfermation
Al-Shabaab claims responsiblity over twitter, saying that they shot 100 bullets. Final reports say that there are 62 deaths and over 120 injures in one attack.
