The Japanese Kwangtung Army's invasion of Manchuria followed the Mukden Incident in Manchuria. The invasion began the Japanese invasion that would last until Februrary of 1932. The Japanese established a puppet state, Manchukuo, and their occupation there lasted until the end of WWII. -

Italy conquers Albania
Mussolini's troops tried to mimic Hitler's conquest of Prague, and while his troops were unorganized they did invade and occupy Abania. Albania already had been dependent on Italy's economy, so Italy did not gain much when they had conquered. And future exploits in in nearby countries, such as Greece, would be disastrous for the Italians.
