Prince Henry Navigation School Opening

1. Was the first formal school of navigation in Portugal, if not Europe, which allowed Portugal an advantage in exploration.
2. The school gathered cartographers, instrument makers, shipbuilders, scientists, and scientists, which increased the chances of a new invention being created relating to ships and/or exploration was very high.
3. Allowed Portugal to establish trading routes on the west African shoreline, where they traded very profitable items. -
