Assassanation of Linkoln
Linkoln's assassanation was 6 days after the civil war. The crime was commited by John Wilkes Booth. a huge misfortune to america and Linkolns plan for reconstruction. -
Andrew Johnson became presidant
Presidant Johnson was born in the south but supported the union durring the war. He was made presidanr because of Linkoln's death. -
Black Codes.
The black codes were laws that controlledfreed men or women. Blacks had to take a literacy test before they could vote. they also had to pay a tax called the "Poll Tax" -
Ku Klix Klan
People in the south who dispised blacks. they hunted them down and killed them. -
First Reconstruction Act
Called for the recreation of new governments in the 10 southern states that had not ratified the 14th amendment. -

14 Amendment
