  • 13th Amendment

    The 13th Amendment was passed on January 31st, 1865, but was ratified on December 6th, 1865. This Amendment is what abolished slavery and involuntary servitude. This would be categorized as a Constitutional Amendment.

    The 14th Amendment was passed by congress on June 13th, 1866, and was ratified on July 9th, 1868. This Amendment was what gave everyone birthright citizenship and equal protection under the law. This would be categorized as a Constitutional Amendment.
  • 15th Amendment

    The 15th Amendment was passed on February 26th, 1869, and was ratified on February 3rd, 1870. This Amendment is what prohibited federal and state government from denying US citizens from voting based off their race.
