Japan launched an attack on Manchuria, later successfully seizing the area. The Leauge of Nations disapproved with the Japenese's sudden movement, therefore, Japan resigned from the League of Nations and continued their plan to gain more land. -

Franklin D Roosevelt wins the hearts of the American people and is elected President. Roosevelt promises the people the New Deal, which will slowly bring the United States out of the Great Depression and allow Roosevelt to be re-elected for two more terms until his death. -

Miracle at Dunkirk
This was the evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beached and harbour of Dunkirk, France. This was because the German army had cut off the British, French, and Belgian troops during this battle. The British and French did not expect Hitler to move his army through the forest, and due to Hitler's descision the Maginot Line was defeated easily. British fishermen, fleets, and man with an able boat were sent to rescue the cornered soldiers and bring them safely back to Britain. -

The Armistice is signed France is occupied by Germany and the French army is stripped of power, and the German invasion has been successful. France is divided, one part the Germans govern and Vichy Fance, the germans control the government. -

The United States still remained neutral during this time, but they decided to make an agreement with other countries, allowing them to borrow the proper supplies they needed in order to defend their homeland and rights. -
Pearl Harbor
The Pacific Fleet located in Hawaii wake up to the startling sounds of bombs and bullets flying above their heads. The Japenese have invaded Pearl Harbor early Sunday morning with no warning, they killed thousands of America's children leaving some childless and some widows. This uncalled for attack will later draw America into the War so the lives that were lost that day might count for something.
