    The sons of liberty was a sometimes violent organization started in 1773. Founded to advance the rights of the colonists and to fight taxation by the British government.

    The Boston tea party was a political protest that happened on December 16th, 1773. The American colonists were absolutely infuriated with Britain for imposing "taxation without representation" . so as REVENGE.. The colonists got on the ships and poured 342 chests of the Britains tea into the harbor.

    The olive branch petition was significant in a lot of ways. but most importantly. it was a promissory note of loyalty from us to the King of Great Britain with the request of his support in our separation from the rule of the brits. the treaty did not make it in enough time so we had the option to rebel and claim our independence or fall under complete control of Britain.

The main point of this event was to decide and agree on how we were going to govern the Americas. there were many spekers there including James Maddison, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, etc.
