The birth of Adonism was started in 1925 by German Franz Sattler -
The selling of magical cures and talismans
Sattler began to sell talismans and trinkets in order to gain money for the religion. At this time, his only income was coming from his book and relying on money from the publisher. -
Sattler and the Adonistic Society
Being released from the German prison, Sättler returned to Austria in 1926, settling down in the city of Vienna. It was here that he first began propagating Adonism through the foundation of his Adonistic Society. -
Scam and Fraud
Sattler becomes in more trouble with the police and in doing so, has to flee to Greece. -
Police list of 80 German society members
Upon investigating Sattler's papers in Vienna, the police were able to identify 80 members of the society that caused even more newspaper scandal. -
Slovakia
In 1935, Sättler had apparently left Greece and moved to Petralka in Slovakia, from where he offered courses in natural healing and magic -
The Nazi Party
The party is illegalized in 1939 by the nazi party. -
The disappearance of Sattler
The Nazis invade Europe and Sattler vanishes from History. It is thought that he died in a concentration camp or fled never to be seen again. -
Last Attempt to revive Adonism
Walter Koblizek attempted to revive the society throughout the 50's. He died in 1967 without having a real foothold.
