In 1996, Adam started his first band named Kara's Flowers,while at Brentwood highschool, with friends Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. By their senior year they had already realeased their first album "The Fourth World" and realesing their first single "Soap Disco". -
Reunited
Levine and Carmichael dropped out of Five Towns, a collage for performing arts and music that they attended in Rohode Island, and reunited with band members and adding a new member to Kara's Flowers James Valentine. -
Their new band
After moving Carmichael to keyboard after making James the guitarist the band then changed their band name to Maroon 5. The band then realeasd its debut album "Songs About Jane" in 2002. Two years later their album went platinum. The band earned its first Grammy in 2004. -
