On November 30, 1800, Abigails son Charles, dies of liver failure, due to drinking problems. Charles was 30 years old when he died. John wanted to put him in the past, and let him be forgotten. They wouldn't let him be burried at the family plot, because John was upset with him and his later years of life. -
