The townspeople haven't heard from emily so they check and they find her old and dead. -
The townspeople go into Emily's home
They finally go into the home after Emily being dead for six months. They see Tobe one time and he goes out of the back door and disappears. They go into Emily's room and find Homer's skeleton on her bed. On the pillow next to him was a gray hai from emily, she had been sleeping next to him.
