He was a Yankee, a big, dark, ready man. With a big voice and eyes lighter then his face. Homer Barron made everyone in the town laugh. Homer is gay. -
Homer Baron and Emily Grierson start hanging out.
People have started to see Emily clean herself up more. She starts going out more. Because she is finally able to hang out with someone who her dad won't drive away -
Homer and Emily officially date
She buys house things for Homer. Such as a man's toilet set with silver letters H.B on it. Emily is finally somewhat happy now. -
Homer Leaves town
Homer leaves town because Emily's cousins come to town. Her cousins are really mean and just don't like Homer. He knows it so he just leaves -
Emily buys posion
Emily goes to a store to buy some poison. She says it's for the rats, but the people in the town begin to worry they believe its for something else. -
Men places lime around her house
A smell develops inside of Emily's house. The men of the town try to contain the smell. They put limes all around her house hoping it would help. -
Emily's taxes are remitted
A letter was sent to Emily saying that she owed money in taxes. She said she never received one -

Emily ended up dying of old age. People went to her home to look around. She died alone -

After Emily died the town people went looking around her house. They discovered a room and opened the door , only to find Homer lying in a bed dead
