Studying a Tigress's Kill
George observed a tigress, Cut-Ear, and her four cubs eating Cut-Ear's kill and noticed that they preferred the rear meat. -
Cubs Behavior
While Cut-Ear naps, her cubs entertain themselves. One climbs a tree while another stalks a grasshopper. The remaining two wrestle like a 'fuzzy black-and-orange basketball.' -
Investigating Tiger....Poop?
Since George couldn't find that many tiger kills to determine what they eat, he resorted to dissecting their feces -
Tiger Sighting
While walking, Schaller found a half-eaten cow, so he sits against a large rock to wait for the tiger to come back. The tiger does come, but not the direction Schaller thought. When he heard a leaf crackle behid him, he looked to see what made the noise and was face to face with Cut-Ear! -
Taking Down A Buffalo
Schaller observed Cut-Ear and her cubs taking down a domestic buffalo.
