Day of Mourning was a day to held to celebrate 150 years of white settlement in Australia. For the Aboriginals, it was a day of remembrance from the day they were invaded 150 years ago. -
The referendum
The 1967 referendum was a public vote, which allowed various opinions of the Australian constitution to be seen, these opinions were directly related to indigenous Australians. -
Mabo laws
Eddie Mabo, is a Torres strait who fought for the White Laws against Aboriginals. He wanted Murray Island, to gain land rights. As he progressed thorugh his life, a opportunity appeared, in his University. He was able to discuss and argue his point for his land's rights which he succeeded in and made it into to high courts to regain his land rights. -
National Sorry Day
The first ever marked National Sorry Day. This was because of how White Australians took away Aborginal children and claimed that what they were doing was the right thing and should not be sorry about what they have done in the past which was the stolen generation. -
Apology
Australia chooses to apologise to the aboriginal people.
