    Elsa has been separated from her family. The cause of this was the Berlin Wall. She might never see her family again! Luckily she is with her cousins and other side of her family.
  • Surviving

    Elsa is still on the Eastern side of Germany. However, she still has hope. She has heard that the Soviet Union is making people whose houses are built on the walls to move. Thankfully, she is still surviving.
  • Not So Merry Christmas

    Not So Merry Christmas
    It's Christmas but, Elsa isn't so happy about this. She is still on the East side of Germany and she knows that her family misses her to.
  • "Evil United States"

    Elsa has turned 14! She is way more happy than she was on Christmas. She has been going to school but her teacher only talks about the "evil United States" and communism. Her uncle is telling her that it is all communism propaganda.
  • Poor Peter

    A boy named Peter got killed today. He was one of Alf's friends. Peter was trying to escape to the Western side. He was one of the unlucky ones who couldn't escape
  • President John Fitzgerald Kennedy

    President John F. Kennedy came to Berlin today. Even though he came to see the Western side, when Elsa heard his voice she lit up with excitement. She heard his speech on the radio. Even though she couldn't see him she felt like he was talking to her. She had hope and believed what the president was saying.
  • Grief-Stricken

    President John F. Kennedy of the United States has died. Elsa just doesn't want to believe that this has happened.
  • Happy Birthday To Me

    Happy Birthday To Me
    Elsa has turned 16 years of age. This would be a big deal if she was with her family on the Western side. If she was on the Western side she would be old enough to buy a car,but she isn't.
  • The Brandenburg Gate

    Elsa now has 2 kids. Ronald Reagan(The president of the United States) had a speech at the Brandenburg Gate. Elsa's husband, Horace believes that Ronald Reagan can make a difference in the Cold War.
  • FREEDOM

    Today was the day that Elsa, Horace, and her two kids would be able to walk on the Western side of Germany freely. This was the most important part of the Cold War. The tearing down of the Berlin Wall. Once Elsa walked on the Western side she felt free. She saw her parents and to her surprise her brother was married with 3 kids. Everyone had been prepared to tear down the wall. This is a big step to take in history.
