The election of 1800 was between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Jefferson ended up winning the election and became president. Adams was the vice president. Jefferson had 73 votes and Adams had 65. -

Thomas Jeferson was questioned on whether or not the government was able to buy new land. Then the Senate agreed to let him buy the land with a vote of 26 to 6. -
Lewis & Clark reach the Pacific Ocean
The voyage of Lewis and Clark expanded the United States to the Pacific coast. Along with Lewis and Clark was a Shashone indian name Sacagawae. When they reached the Pacific ocean they realized that the Northwest pasage didn't exist. -

The Treaty of Ghent was a truce. America wanted to go to war with Britain. The British wanted control of the Great Lakes area, and Maine. Nobody won the war of 1812, thousands of people died for nothing. -

Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He ran for the Democratic party. He was the first president to let the public to the white house.
