The United States of America goined World War II on December 7,1941. They goined the war after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor killing 2,402 Americans and wounding 1,282 more. -

Jacqueline Bouvier or Jackie as she was called by many was the love of JFK's life. After his election to the Senate, he met with her often. John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier became Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy when they got married on September 12, 1953. -

Bobby Kennedy
Bobby Kennedy was John F. Kennedy's brother. He became John's campaign manager in 1959 when he began running for president. He also advised JFK in most of his political moves during the campaign and John's presidency. -
It Rises
The Berlin Wall was constructed in 1961 in Berlin which was then East and West Berlin. It was constructed to separate East Berlin and West Berlin. John Fitzgerald Kennedy fought to have the wall torn down but that did not happen until after his lifetime. -

Caroline and John Jr. were John Kenndy's children. They were the most important in his life from 1961 to 1963(his time in office). They brightened his stressful days in office by paying him many surprise visits and when JFK saw them playing. -

John Fitzgerald Kennedy founded the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps was designed to encourage mutual understanding between Americans and other cultures of the world. It has had nearly 200,000 volunteers serving in 139 countries since it was founded. -
Missile!?
The Soviet Union(USSR) were secretly building missile launching sites in Cuba about 100 miles from Florida. John F. Kennedy had to make the final decision on what the United States would do about the situation. -
Nuclear Test Ban Treaty
JFK was one of the key people who helped develope the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. He was able to negotiate the United Kingdom(UK) and the Soviet Union(USSR) into signing the treaty which bans the testing of nuclear weapons under water, in the atmosphere, or in outer space. -
The Legend Falls
John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas, Texas being shot in the throat first and then the back of the head. It has not been proven or unproven that Oswald was the killer.
