Luigi Galvani

Luigi Galvani was from Italy and conducted electricity with a brass hook an iron railing and a frogs leg the frogs leg wasn`t that effecient so he got a copper wire and we still use copper wires today too. Luigi`s discovery is important because he was the first person to discover current eletricity.

Alessandro Volta

Jan 1, 1796

Alessandro Volta lived in Itlay and invented the first battery. At first he used bowls full of sea water and got copper and zinc but that wasn`t affective. So he soaked fabric in acid and put it between metal disks and he made current eletricity. Alessandro`s discovery is important because now people can power things without a plug.

Michael Faraday

Michael Faraday lived in England. He got a magnet a battery a wire and wrapped it around the magnet and attached it to the battery. He made a powerful magnet called and eletromagnet. Then he started to move the magnet around and called it a elerical generater. Michael`s discovery is important because now we can lift heavy metal things with it.

Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland and invented the telephone at the age of 29. Alexander`s invention is important because we can contact people by using the phone.

Lewis Latimer and Joseph Nichols

They tried making the light bulb by using paper but then they uesd carbon filament but it didn`t last very long.

Thomas Alva Edison

Thomas Alva Edison had hired an assistent Lewis Latimer to invent the light bulb and they made a huge sucess with it.

Thomas needed something to generate lots of houses so they can have eletricity so he made a power grid for the power plant he invented and he made the first large scale commercial powerplant.
