Coolidge said little about the prohibition and the KKK for his campaign, but he got the Americans vote with smaller taxes and smaller government and earneds 382 electoral votes. -

Lindbergh left long island across the Alantic Ocean to go to paris to win the Orteig prize for 25,000 dollars and he left New York at 7:52 A.M.and flew 3,500 miles until he hit paris. -
The Spirit of St. Louis Ends its Flight
Lindergh flew the Alantic Ocean for 33 1/2 hours and when he arrived in paris there and landed people broke through the ropes and cheered as the police put him on their shoulders and carried him away. -
President Hoover is Elected
Hoover was a mining engineer and served as a Commerece secretary for coolidge and Harding and he created a Federal Farm's board for his first step in office. -

Because of Herbert Hoover did not veto the Hawley-Smoot Tariff, stock prices dropped and lost $14 billion and at the end of the week it would be $30 billion -

Also called Formally United States Tariff Act this protected American businesses and farmers which added strain to the Great Depression and was named after Senator Reed Smoot and Representative Willis Hawley. -

The dust bowl began because of the drought and the crops started to die as the wind blew the dust with static electircity built up one by one and made a huge storm and was going about 60 mph and multiple of storms were happening and the amount was increasing for eight years. -

About 1,000 Veterans that came into Washington D.C for their cause and they were mostly homless and said that they were going to stay in the capital until their problem was passed and all of these men ran through Pennsylvania Ave. -
President Franklin D. Roosevelt is Elected
Franklin D. Roosevelt had four major events in office which are that he repealed the prohibition with the 21st amendment, developed the Court Packing Plan, developed the Social Security Act, and New Deal policies. -
Civilian Conservation Corps
president Roosevelt signed the CCC which gave men between the ages of 17-23 in work campsfor thirty dollars a month and twenty five sent home and there was 25,000 African Americans enrolled in the CCC. -
Tennesse Valley Authority (TVA)

Prohibition ended because the 21st amendment was ratified and abolished the 18th amendment and prohibition was sent to an end. -

This aministration is made for the unemployed and give them jobs and was made by the Presidential Executive order and was made for the act of ERA- or Emergency Relief Appropriation. -

created an old age benefit for workers, victims of accidents, unemployment insurance, the blind,and physical handicapped so that they are all protected. -
