Nicolaus Copernicus was born. He was a astronomer who came up with the idea of a Heliocentric Cosmology, which in turn put the earth as the center of the whole Universe. -

Galileo was born in Pisa, Italy. He was the first out of 6 children. HIs full name is Galileo di Vincenzo Bonaiuti de' Galilei. He would than find many discoveries that would greatly contribute to the science community. -

Comet of 1577
Tycho Brahe said that he was the fist to view this comet. He drew sketches in his notebook that looks like the comment was close to Venus. In his sketches it says that the earth is at the center of the solar system. The sun and the moon will orbit with all the other planets around the sun. -

Galileo Demonstrates his telescope
In 1609 Galileo made improvements the the telescope. He mande one with alomst 3x magnification than went up to about 32x the mafnification. On August 25th he first demonstrated his very first telescope to the Venetian Lawmakers. -
Galileo First Uses Telescope to look at the Sky
Galileo used a Dutch invention called a telescope to look into the sky and what he saw amazed him, He saw mountains and marks made by rivers on the moon. He saw Jupitars moons revolving around it and thought they were planets so he came to the conclusion that the sun had planets revolving around it. He put all his discoveries in a book called The Starry Messanger, which he later published. -
Isaac Newton Discovers Gravity
While Sir Isaac Newton was wondering about in a garden with his mother at a university it is said that he saw a apple fall and it gave him the idea that something had to pull on it to make it do that. Others say the apple actually hit him on the head and gave him the idea of gravity, but thats not logical. Nethertheless this was a huge discovery and contributed to the Scientific Revolution greatly. -
Isaac Newton theorizes Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy
Sir Isaac Newton theorizes one of his greatest works at the time and even today. He comes up with the Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy. This in turn leads to what is now known as Classical Mechanics. These rules are even present in Isaac Newton's 'Three Laws of Motion'. -
First Calculas Book was published
Publication of the first Calculas book occured in this year. This event was made possible by a man called Marquis de L'Hôpital.
