On march 5 1770 British regulars fired opon a mob and killed five colonists. It happend because the colonists were getting mad at the british troops coming to america. -

The Boston officals refused to send back three ships of taxed tea to Britian. Then colonists raided the ships and destroyed to tea aboard by dumping it in to the harbor. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
British commander General Thomas Gage sent 700 British troops to destroy colonial ammunition and guns. The British were only able to destroy part of the wepons because towns people hid them the night before. Then the milita followed and shot at the British on their way back to Boston. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
Battle of Bunker hill mainly took place on and around Breeds hill. The British assaulted Americans two times with significant casualties. Then the British took the hill on thrid assult. -
Battle of New York
British troops landed on Staten Island and over the next six weeks the number of troops numbered over 32,000. Both American forces and British forces fought for New York until the Winter months of 1777. -

The Battle of Saratoga was fought between september 19 and october 7. The battle of saratoga decidid the fate of John Burgoyons army. The British and Americans fight each other until the surrender of the John Burgoyn. -
Valley Forge
Washington moved all of his forces to Valley Forge For the winter. They made more than a thousand huts but they did not provide the best shelter. Many people died from diesase and sickness. Then Washington brought in Friedrich von steuben to drill and instruct the men to become a real army. -
Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of York town was the last major batttle of the war. Washington and the French traped Cornwallis in Yorktown. They fired apon the city untill Cornwallis surrendered. -
Treaty of Paris
The signing of the Treaty of Paris ended the Revotionary War.
