  • Sony Walkman

    Sony Walkman
The Sony Walkman was a portable audio player device. It was used to place cassette tapes on the go. The Walkman was created in 1979 but I did not get one until 1991. It came with headphones which provided privacy. The Walkman did not have a speaker, so if a person did not have headphones, they were unable to listen to music.
  • Panasonic CD Player

    Panasonic CD Player
The Panasonic CD Player was similar to the Sony Walkman. It was used for listening to music on the go. The CD player was a portable device that played audio compact discs instead of cassette tapes. They were created in 1982 but I did not get one until 1994. The actual CDs were prone to scratch or become inoperable if the actual CD player was not handled properly.

    Desktop Computer
The desktop computer is a personal computer created for regular use at a stationary location on a desk. My desktop computer was not in color; it was a black and white computer. I used it to type high school English papers. I used a floppy disk in order to save all my work. I did not use it for games or fun purposes. The desktop computer was created in the 1970s but I did not get one until 1995.
  • Motorola Beeper

    Motorola Beeper
The Motorola Beeper was also known as a pager. It was a wireless telecommunications device that received and displayed alphanumeric messages. Beepers were created in the 1950s and 1960s but I did not get one until 1997. I used my beeper to stay in touch with my family and friends. I was not a huge fan of the beeper so I eventually got rid of it.
  • Nokia Cellphone

    Nokia Cellphone
The Nokia cellphone was one of the first popular cellphones during the late 90s. It was created in March 1999 but I did not get one until June 1999. It was a traditional cellphone without any games or color. It was a black and white cellphone. The phone had actual buttons so text messaging was not very popular and was very difficult.
