At Lexington and Concord a singal shot was fired, which started the American Revolution. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
The first and secound attack on the Americans at Bunker hill did not succeeed, but the British won the Third, only because the Americans ran out of ammunition. -
Declaration of Independance
By signing the Declaration of Independance, the continental Congress stated that the colonies were free from British rule. -

General Cornwallis surrenders to General Washington, after 22 days of battle.
