This is a international event that goes on for one week. They celebrate by lintening to music, food, dancing and general joy create a very special atmosphere. It takes place in Seville. They celebrate this because it has been a tradition sense the first one at a cattle farm in 1847. -
La tomatina
La tomatina is a festival in Valencian, in which they throw tomatoes at each other. This event started when there was a vegetable stand, they picked tomatoes and used them as a weapon. The police had to break up the fight, and forced those responsible to pay the damages incurred. -
castellers de vilafranca
One of this holidays traditions are to build human castles while wearing green shirts. They celebrate with family and friends. It starts on April 21 and goes through out the summer. They celebrate this because, in 1948, people at a party started making human castles. It has been a tradition sense. -
Moros y Cristianos
This is a celebration for the the victory of the capture of the city by the Moors. They celebrate in many cities and they dress up like warriors. They walk the street in gratefulness of the warriors. -
Pamplona
Pamplona is the running of the bulls the release the bulls at 8 in the morning between July 7-14. The length of the run is 826 meters. Thsi started in North-eastern Spain during the early 14th century. !5 people have been killed sense 1910.
