  • Photoshop was released

    John and Thomas Knoll had been working on photoshop for a few years and in 1990 released it to the public under Adobe publishing. Photoshop allowed people to edit images and draw on their computers with higher quality software. Thanks to this invention, we are now able to not only alter images but we can create breathtaking art with the program as well that has pushed art to new heights.
  • Game Gear was released

    The first Sega handheld was released named the Sega Game Gear. Allowed kids to play iconic Sega genesis games on a portable device. Portable devices had been around for a while but the power the Game Gear held would influence the surge of newer and more powerful handhelds in the future by companies like NEOGEO and Nintendo.
  • The first website

    The first ever website made was by Tim Burners-Lee. The website was ran on a computer at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN. The websites purpose was to inform people on how the World Wide Web works and how they can support or make their own website. This lead the World Wide Web to become more accessible to consumers across the world.
  • First "Natural Keyboard"

    Microsoft released a Natural Keyboard to the public that was advertised to reduce carpal tunnel, strain, and negative impact on those who used the computer. At first it was deemed as the most weird and funky keyboards but was soon deemed popular. Now there are hundreds of different kinds of ergonomic keyboards around thanks to Microsoft. This keyboard was invented by Kevin Conway.
  • Playstation one was released

    The PlayStation one was made by Ken Kutaragi under Sony. It was the go to 3D gaming console on the market. It was widely bought due to the ability to not only play games but to play music and movies. This console was PlayStation first real step into the game console race and the PlayStation one set a precedent for what the future consoles would be. Because of it's success, the game industry has only been improved.
