On this day, seven terrorists (Ramzi Yousef, Mahmud Abouhalima, Mohammad Salameh, Nidal A. Ayyad, Abdul Rahman Yasin and Ahmed Aja) planned to take down one of the World Trade Center buildings with a bomb hidden inside a van that was parked underneath the South Tower. The bomb caused major damage to the building, killed six people, and injured 1,042 civilians. -
